Weiss jemand ob Traveler eine Art Mini-Serie ist, oder ob sie nach den produzierten Folgen mit einem Cliffhanger endet?

Gute Frage. Ich dachte eigentlich ersteres, aber dann habe ich kürzlich in einem Artikel etwas über Pläne für die zweite Staffel gelesen und dachte nur: Oh weia...

Also zuerst las ich, dass alle wesentlichen Fragen am Ende der 8 Folgen beantwortet sein werden. Dann las ich allerdings auch noch was über Pläne zu einer zweiten Staffel.

Auf jeden Fall hoffen sie eine zweite Staffel zu bekommen.

Der Creator von "Traveler" soll wohl angeblich auch folgendes bei imdb.com gepostet haben (wobei man sich natürlich nicht sicher sein kann, ob er es wirklich war oder nicht, aber das kann man schnell herausfinden, wenn die Serie mit offenen Fragen abgesetzt wird, weil er im Post erwähnte, dass er übrige Fragen in einem Blog oder bei TVGuide.com beantworten würde...)

Hi, All. I've been lurking on this board for awhile, enjoying the posts, and debating whether or not to jump into the discussion. After seeing (screenwriter) Roberto Orci's thread on the TRANSFORMERS website message board, I figured some good writer/fan interaction is just what the board needs right now.

First off, on behalf of our cast, crew, and writers' room, I want to thank everyone who has checked out the show and logged on to chat about it. All of your comments are great -- those who dig it AND those who don't. TRAVELER is meant to get people talking, and nothing got me more fired up than seeing a two page thread about the validity of Jay's remark about "Guantanamo Bay."

But I'm not here to debate politics, or Kim Doherty's hotness, or whether or not the Drexler bombing was really just one big art heist. I am here to talk about the pervasive fear of this show getting canceled. So here's what I know:

Right now, we've been told that TRAVELER is a summer series and you will see all eight episodes of the first season! So don't be afraid to invest in this show. I will make sure you get answers to any dangling questions, even if you have to get them via my blog over at TVguide.com.

The other thing I keep reading is that you think your opinion does not matter unless you have a Nielsen Box. That, my friends, is pure and utter crap. I'm sure you have read about the fans who recently convinced CBS to renew JERICHO after the show was already canceled. You think you are powerless? Not at all.

So, if you like TRAVELER, or if you just want to make sure that not all summer programming must include a panel of judges with a surly Brit, start getting vocal. Tell your friends to catch up on old episodes at ABC.com. Then tell them to tune in next Wednesday for another blow-your-drawers-off episode... two words for you... "The Porter." Seriously, this show is just getting warmed up. Now that Will is alive, things really get crazy.

But lastly, and most importantly, let ABC know that you like this show!!! I am not suggesting that you send 35,000 tons of nuts to ABC headquarters. But I am suggesting that you go back to the era of fan mail. Contact ABC scheduling and show your support. Because right now, all they have to go off is Nielsen boxes. And those Nielsen boxes go off of advertising. And well, there's not a ton of advertising, so there won't be a ton of Nielsen boxes... kind of like the whole chicken & the egg thing.

So keep up the posting. Contact ABC. And start spreading the good TRAVELER word far and wide. We need to reach out to the fans of 24, LOST, HEROES, and JERICHO, the serialized shows that are returning next year. It's up to you guys to make sure we can join them.

No worries. Happy to post. The idea of eight episodes was initially a bummer for me as well. But as we were breaking the stories in the writers' room, we realized we'd been given a gift. We could pace TRAVELER much faster than most serialized shows. I liken it now to SLEEPER CELL or some of the BBC series. Limited run shows that have tight seasons and then come back for more. It's a very freeing way to do television and the way that serialized shows will likely move with the announcement that LOST is now doing 16 episode seasons. So, you won't see more TRAVELER episodes at the end of summer. But if the fanbase grows, we'll hopefully be back for more either mid-season or next summer.

Ist was draus geworden?

Bisher hat der "Traveler"-Creator noch nichts zu einer Auflösung der Serie gesagt, da er noch abwartet, ob es nicht doch noch irgendeine Chance für eine Auflösung der Serie gibt. Seien es nun Comics oder ein Fernsehfilm.

Ja... ich hab's schon fast befürchtet, dass das Finale so endet. Natürlich eine Enttäuschung, weil ich doch gehofft habe, dass alles aufgedeckt wird. Immerhin wurde die Story um den Bombenanschlag zum Teil aufgelöst...

Wow was für ein Finale wirklich ein bang wobei ich immer sicher war das der gute FBI Agent Chambers ein Bad Guy ist wofür würden die denn sonst den Steven Culp verpflichten, war der irgendwo jemals schon was anderes als ein böser (ausser Housewives) :twisted:

24 Staffel 2 - er ist einer, der im Auftrag des Präsidenten jemanden foltert. Ich denke das kann man gerade noch als "gut" durchgehen lassen .

Wow! Traveler wäre eine hammergeile Serie geworden! Meine güte! Aber irgendwie ist es für mich etwas zu sehr "Verschwörungstheorie"-Belastet. Aber die Serie hätte einen sicherlich nie aufatmen lassen!
Das Ende find ich auch genial, aber ich weiss nicht wie ich auf den Tod von Tyler reagiert hätte (Ich hasse das, wenn sie die "Happy-Happy-End" Variante (Friede Freude Eierkuchen) schon ziemlich früh streichen)


Ach ja: Grosses Lob an den Creator! Finde das ganz grosse Klasse dass er sich so Mühe gemacht hat! Sollte Pflicht für jede Serie werden, die abgesetzt wird, dass sie sowas machen!

Habs die Serie jetzt mal nachgeholt, und mir hat sie es auch angetan. Schon eine Katastrophe, das ganze so offen zu lassen, auch wenn man am Ende wusste, was im Dexler-museum passiert ist.

Das ganze mit der vierten Gewalt wäre schon sehr interessant gewesen. Gibt einem echt zu denken.
