Herbst
Sehr gut
MY NAME IS EARL (NBC) (“the best of the comedy pilots this season”)
EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS (UPN) (“one of the genre’s best offerings in recent memory”)
HEAD CASES (FOX) (“Chris O'Donnell is just a revelation here”)
PRISON BREAK (FOX) (“the smartest, most intricately plotted pilot”)
Gut
SUPERNATURAL (The WB) (“in the end the strength of the cases will sustain the show”)
SURFACE (“an enjoyable hour of TV”)
E-RING (NBC) (“actually pretty cool stuff”)
TWINS (The WB) (“If you like "Will & Grace," you'll find a lot to like here”)
THE NIGHT STALKER (“L.A. hasn’t looked this good on TV before”)
KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL (FOX) (“the most recognizable, talented and interesting cast”)
BONES (FOX) (“basically "C.S.I." done "Mulder and Scully"-style”)
CLOSE TO HOME (CBS) (“well-made and well-produced”)
THE GHOST WHISPERER (“a "take it or leave it" kind of show”)
JUST LEGAL (The WB) (“works quite well as a character drama”)
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS) (“here’s hoping plenty of entertainment lies ahead”)
Geht so
INVASION (ABC) (“moves with a glacier-like pace”)
COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF (ABC) (“Mackenzie (Geena Davis) comes across as painfully ill equipped to be President”)
THE WAR AT HOME (Fox) (“harmless and forgettable”)
CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) (“featuring all the serial-killer clichés that have been beat to death”)
REUNION (Fox) (“the idea itself is more interesting than the execution”)
THE GATE (FOX) (“nothing here we haven't seen done better elsewhere”)
LOVE, INC (UPN) (“It's hard not to compare the show to the infinitely funnier feature "Hitch,")
Mies
SEX, LOVE AND SECRETS (UPN) (“how can such campy material be played so straight?”)
RELATED (The WB) (“nothing funny about it at all”)
FREDDIE (ABC) (“not a lot of laughs to be had here”)
OUT OF PRACTICE (CBS) (“stunningly laugh-free”)
INCONCEIVABLE (NBC) (“Will this be the first show to get cancelled?”)
SOUTH BEACH (UPN) (“one extremely long music video”)
HOT PROPERTIES (ABC) (“Can I get the past 22 minutes of my life back?”)
THRESHOLD (CBS) (“Out of all the supernatural newcomers, this is by far the worst.”)
Midseason
Sehr gut
THE UNIT (CBS) (“Creepy, unique and exhilarating all at the same time”)
THE LOOP (Fox) (“a goofy, fun charm that’s infectious”)
CRUMBS (“the most twisted multi-camera sitcom since FOX's "Titus.”)
WHAT ABOUT BRIAN (ABC) (“one of the best final acts of a pilot”)
Gut
SONS & DAUGHTERS (ABC) (“dry sense of humor”)
Geht so
FOUR KINGS (NBC) (“works as just being about four buddies” but “the "plot" element is just downright painful”)
PEPPER DENNIS (The WB) (“really freakin' bizarre”)
THE EVIDENCE (ABC) (“it's got some new tricks, but in too many ways it's still the same old dog”)
OLD CHRISTINE (CBS) (“underwhelming but not terribly annoying”)
THICK AND THIN (NBC) (“awkward jokes about being fat”)
THE BEDFORD DIARIES (The WB) (“over-obsessed with sex”)
EMILY'S REASONS WHY NOT (ABC) (“relatively quick and harmless”)
EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT MEN (CBS) (“a few modest laughs, but nothing consistent”)
Mies
MISCONCEPTIONS (The WB) (“the worst comedy pilot this season”)
MODERN MEN (The WB) (“painfully predictable and transparent”)
IN JUSTICE (ABC) (“dull”)
