ABC picked up a third new comedy, Chris Moynihan's Man Up.

The last comedy pilots to get the nod at ABC today are Suburgatory and the cross-dressing Work It. Another buzzed about pilot, Smothered, has not been picked up but remains in contention. Among those that are not moving forward is Other People's Kids.

EXCLUSIVE: Sarah Michelle Gellar's 'Ringer' To Get Picked Up By CW, Disney Pulls Out

UPDATE: I hear ABC Studios, which co-produced the pilot for Ringer with CBS Studios, is pulling out, citing that it cannot produce a series for the economics of the CW. This is ironic, as CW's new president Mark Pedowitz is the former head of ABC Studios. Under him, ABC Studios produced the CW series Reaper.
Übrigens merkte TheDailyBeast folgendes an:

While some announcements are essentially set in stone, there are still a number of elements in flux at the moment. One case in point: Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar's noir thriller Ringer, which had been originally developed for CBS. While it was reported that Ringer would move to the CW, it emerged late Friday that it was not a done deal. While the CW is said to be considering the pilot, the network has yet to close a deal to order it to series.

Also ist Ringer noch nicht fix.
List Of ABC & NBC's Pilots That Are Dead

I've been reporting these and dribs and drabs but here is a full list:

ABC: DRAMAS Identity, Hallelujah, Grace, Georgetown, Poe, Partners. COMEDIES: My Freakin' Family, Other People's Kids, Bad Mom, Lost & Found.

NBC: DRAMAS Wonder Woman, Reconstruction, A Mann's World, Metro, 17the Precinct; COMEDIES: Brave New World, I Hate That I Love You, Untitled Kari Lizer, Lovelives, My Life As An Experiment, Family Practice (aka Dan Goor)

Da ist jetzt nichts dabei, was mich sonderlich interessiert hätte.

WHO IS STILL ALIVE?
'Exit Strategy' Taps Ken Olin As Co-Showrunner; 'Family Album' Eyes Midseason Order & More

Between the VIP section of newly picked up series and the pilot of rejected pilots is the no man's land of pilots that are neither dead nor picked up yet. Here is a rundown on what is still alive and which dead pilots are looking for life elsewhere:

EXIT STRATEGY: Fox passing on the Ethan Hawke-starring action drama pilot was one of the biggest surprises on Tuesday when Fox made its series pickups. But the project, from 20th TV and Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman's K/O Paper Products, is very much alive at the network for a possible midseason order. Veteran director-producer Ken Olin has come on board to help with the retooling of the project. He worked with Orci and Kurtzman on Alias where he also met K/O president Heather Kadin, then an ABC exec. Olin is expected to serve as co-showrunner if Exit Strategy is picked up to series. The pilot has been praised for the look established by director Antoine Fuqua but I hear that Fox brass felt the action needed to be infused with more character. Olin is already pitching ideas to do that, working alongside creator David Guggenheim who comes from the feature world and has no TV experience. Besides Hawke, a rare bona fide movie star to agree to do a broadcast series, Exit Strategy has something else going for it - the huge popularity surrounding Seal Team Six, the elite group that killed Osama bin Laden. On the show, Hawke leads a similar team dispatched around the world on clandestine rescue operations. "Everyone will be pitching Seal Team 6 series for next season, and we already have one ready to go," one insider said.

FAMILY ALBUM: The single-camera family comedy directed by Shawn Levy and starring Mike O'Malley was also initially poised for retooling, and Fox asked producing studio 20th TV to film a second episode. But I now hear that the pilot is on track for a midseason order, which may come as early as next week.

LITTLE IN COMMON: The other Fox family comedy pilot left in contention. I hear the project, which stars Rob Corddry and Kevin Hart, will probably go on a slower track and will undergo some reworking for midseason consideration. Ditto on yet another family comedy, ABC's SMOTHERED. starring Marcia Gay Harden and Adam Arkin.

LOCKE & KEY:
the high-profile horror pilot, which Fox passed on, is being shopped to cable networks - both premium and basic - by 20th TV's cable division Fox 21. The instant interest stems from the fact that Locke & Key is a pre-sold title as it is based on Joe Hill's graphic novel.

Also shopped to cable is Stephen Gaghan's sprawling drama pilot METRO, which didn't make the cut at NBC. There is also talk about taking another NBC pilot, Michael Patrick King's A MANN's WORLD, to cable.

Tim's wife Vanessa is a former stay-at-home-mom who is now a bigwig with a recent promotion to Vice President. His twenty-two-year-old daughter Kristin works multiple jobs to save up for a house. SUBURGATORY (Single-Cam)
Cast: Alan Tudyk, Allie Grant, Ana Gasteyer, Carly Chaikin, Cheryl Hines, Jane Levy, Jeremy Sisto
Single father George only wants the best for his sixteen-year-old daughter Tessa. So when he finds a box of condoms on her nightstand, he moves them out of their apartment in New York City to a house in the suburbs. But all Tessa sees is the horror of over-manicured lawns and plastic Franken-moms. Being in the 'burbs can be hell, but it also may just bring Tessa and George closer than they've ever been. Tessa (Jane Levy) and George (Jeremy Sisto) have been on their own ever since Tessa's Mom pulled a Kramer vs. Kramer before Tessa was potty trained. So far, George has done a pretty good job of raising Tessa without a maternal figure in their lives, but suddenly he's feeling a little out of his league. So it's goodbye New York City and hello suburbs. At first Tessa is horrified by the big-haired, fake-boobed mothers and their sugar-free Red Bull-chugging kids, but little by little, she and her dad begin finding a way to survive on the clean streets of the 'burbs. Sure, the neighbors might smother you with love while their kids stare daggers at your back, but underneath all that plastic and caffeine they're really not half bad. Not as awesome as the trannies in their old 'hood, of course, but they do make a tasty pot roast. Emily Kapnek (Hung) writes and executive produces this bitingly ironic single-camera comedy that combines Juno's heightened reality with Father Knows Best's heart. Tessa and her Dad may be out of their element, but at least they've got each other. When you descend into Suburgatory, it's good to have backup.

WORK IT (Multi-Cam)
Cast:· Amaury Nolasco, Ben Koldyke, Beth Lacke, John Carapulo, Kacie Lynch, Kate Reinders, Rebecca Mader, Kirstin Eggers, Rochelle Aytes

After being laid off, Lee will do anything it takes to support his family - even if it means putting on a skirt and heels. Ever since Lee and his best friend Angel (Amaury Nolasco) lost their jobs at the local Pontiac dealership, they've had to deal with a few cutbacks. Lee's wife Connie's salary is enough to pay the bills, but what about all the little extras in life - like vacations, dates, and cell phone service for their teenage daughter Kat? And is a gig at Astro Tacos really the best Angel can do? It looks like there's no place left for Lee and Angel but their local bar - the last stronghold of masculinity. Their luck changes when Lee overhears a cute drug rep saying that there are plenty of jobs at her company ... for women. Desperate times call for desperate measures. So Lee raids his wife's wardrobe and struts into Fleming Pharmaceutical Company as "Lee" - an awkward, man-ish sales rep with killer credentials and a really sad handbag. His new boss Vanessa is so wowed by his job performance, he's also able to swing a job for his friend Angel, who hopefully may be able to learn how to connect more with women now that he's had to become one himself. Steady employment is great, but there are other perks to their new gig, too. Being a woman makes Lee a better husband and kick-starts Angel's transformation from a womanizer into a respectful, standup guy. Work It is a modern day buddy comedy in the hilarious tradition of Bosom Buddies and Some Like It Hot. From Andrew Reich and Ted Cohen (Friends) and director Beth McCarthy Miller (30 Rock), this outrageous multi-camera comedy isn't afraid to go where no man has gone before.

When down-and-out Bridget goes on the lam from the mob and the FBI, she reconnects with her wealthy twin, Siobhan, in Manhattan, and ends up assuming her identity after Siobhan dies. But Siobhan had secrets of her own… not to mention some mightily powerful enemies as well. What follows is a taut serialized drama that explores questions of identity, self, and escapism as Bridget attempts to slip into her twin sister’s shoes, only to learn that the seemingly perfect life her sister was living was broken and dangerous.

"TERRA NOVA is one of the most ambitious television series ever produced," said Reilly. "The cutting-edge visual effects used to create the world of TERRA NOVA, which is of massive scope and scale, require more time to be realized. This aspect of the series is essential, so we are pushing back the special early preview date to give the visual effects team the time needed for their ground-breaking work." NBC

The Playboy Club
Cast: Amber Heard, David Krumholtz, Eddie Cibrian,Jenna Dewan-Tatum, John Hoogenakker, Laura Benanti, Leah Cudmore, Naturi Naughton, Sean Maher, Wes Ramsey
The drama revolves around working-class bunnies (Amber Heard, Jenna Dewan) and the men who love them (Eddie Cibrian) in the 1960s, where crooners, mob bosses, politicians and Chicago's elite play. The drama, a 20th TV and Imagine production, counts Chad Hodge (Runaway) and Brian Grazer (Lie to Me, Friday Night Lights) among its executive producers. The pilot was directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones). Working in its favor: name recognition -- and a vast empire of products, print and reality series to remind viewers about the show.

Awake (formerly REM)
Cast: B.D. Wong , Cherry Jones, Dylan Minnette, Jason Isaacs, Laura Allen, Michaela McManus, Steve Harris, Wilmer Valderrama
Lone Star creator Kyle Killen delivers another dual life drama, this time a procedural hybrid starring Jason Isaacs (Brotherhood) as a police detective who can't let go of any aspect of his fractured family after a car crash. Cherry Jones and Wilmer Valderrama co-star in the drama from 20th TV. Howard Gordon (24) executive produces with the pilot directed by David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse). The project, from 20th TV, is said to be both smart and compelling, though fears about its complexity have been raised.

Grimm
Cast: Bitsie Tulloch, David Giuntoli, Kate Burton, Reggie Lee, Russell Hornsby, Sasha Roiz, Silas Weir Mitchell
The dark cop drama with fantasy elements is set in a world in which Brothers Grimm fairy tales exist. David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) & Jim Kouf (Ghost Whisperer) are writers and executive producers on the series, from UMS and Hazy Mills Productions. Marc Buckland (My Name is Earl) directed the pilot. It was one of two fantastical police dramas (17th Precinct was the other) the network was considering this development season.

Whitney (Multi-Cam)
Cast: Whitney Cummings, Zoe Lister, Beverly D'Angelo , Chris D'Elia, Maulik Pancholy, Rhea Seehorn
The multicamera comedy, from Universal Media Studios, is based on the stand-up comedy of Whitney Cummings and revolves around the ups and downs of a young couple in a committed relationship. Cummings penned the pilot and will executive produce with Betsy Thomas (My Boys), Scott Stuber (Your Highness), Quan Phung and Barry Katz (Good Luck Chuck). Andy Ackerman (Perfect Couples) directed the pilot. The series garned strong buzz in recent weeks, with network interest in femme-skewing comedies.

Up All Night (Single-Cam)
Cast: Christina Applegate, James Pumphrey, Maya Rudolph, Will Arnett
Another single-cam comedy that takes an irreverent look at parenthood through the point of view of an acerbic working mother (Christina Applegate) who never thought she'd be a mom, along with her stay-at-home husband (Will Arnett) and opinionated parents. Maya Rudolph co-stars in the UMS project. Spivey wrote the pilot and will executive produce along with Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock). The combo of talent on and off camera was a major selling point.

Smash
Cast:Anjelica Huston, Brian d'Arcy James, Christian Borle, Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, Megan Hilty, Raza Jaffrey
The musical drama, based on an idea by Steven Spielberg, revolves around a cross-section of characters (Debra Messing, Katharine McPhee) who work to put on a Broadway musical about Marilyn Monroe. Theresa Rebeck penned the pilot with Spielberg, Justin Flavey, Darryl Frank, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron on board as executive producers. Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman will contribute original songs. Smash, which many have dubbed Glee for adults, hails from UMS and DreamWorks TV. The project was said to be a sure thing all along. Working in its favor: Spielberg's engagement, a high-profile cast and the early involvement of NBC boss Bob Greenblatt, who developed the show while still at Showtime.

Prime Suspect
Cast: Maria Bello, Aidan Quinn, Brian O'Byrne, Joe Nieves, Kirk Acevedo, Tim Griffin, Toby Stephens
The adaptation of the British miniseries stars Maria Bello as a female detective who has to make her bones in a tough New York precinct dominated by men. The reboot counts Alex Cunningham, Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights), Sarah Aubrey and Julie Medel Johnson as executive producers. Greenblatt was a big fan of both the long-gestating reboot concept and Bello, sources tell THR.

Best Friends Forever (Single-Cam)
Cast: Jessica St. Clair, Lennon Parham
Lennon Parham (Accidentally on Purpose) and Jessica St. Clair (United States of Tara) star in Best Friends Forever, a single-camera comedy about a woman and her new boyfriend who move in together and find themselves sharing their love nest with her best female friend, who is going through a messy divorce. The three form an extremely uncomfortable triangle of relationships as they navigate their new living arrangement. The project was co-created by St. Clair and Parham, who star alongside Stephen Schneider. While the subject seems typically more suited for a multi-camera format, NBC seems to be sticking with their single-camera approach, which has largely worked creatively for its Thursday night stable of comedies.

Bent (Single-Cam)
Cast:· Amanda Peet, David Walton, Jeffrey Tambor , Joey King, Margo Harshman as Screwsie
Amanda Peet (Please Give) stars in single-camera comedy Bent as a type-A divorced, single mother who tries to resist her sexy and charming contractor (David Walton), who also happens to be a recovering gambling addict. This will-they-or-won’t-they couple tries to deny their obvious attraction for one another as they strive to maintain a professional relationship as he updates her kitchen. Joey King, Jeffrey Tambor, Margo Harshman, Susan Park, Rick Gonzalez, and Pasha Lychnikoff fill out the cast. Bent was written by Tad Quill, who created this season’s short-lived relationship comedy Perfect Couples.

Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea! (Multi-Cam)
Cast:Angel Laketa Moore, Chelsea Handler, Jo Koy, Laura Prepon, Lauren Lapkus, Lenny Clarke, Mark Povinelli, Natalie Morales
Based on Chelsea Handler’s memoir of the same title, this multi-camera comedy stars Laura Prepon (That 70s Show) as a young outspoken Chelsea and Handler, who plays Chelsea’s super-religious older sister, Sloan. It centers on a group of twentysomethings who live and work together and was created by Julie Larson (Dharma & Greg and The Drew Carey Show). Handler also serves as an executive producer. The cast includes Angela Laketa Moore, Natalie Morales, Jo Koy, Lauren Lapkus, Mark Povinelli, and Lenny Clarke. Sample dialogue from Handler’s character: “If my baby gets chlamydia from the toilet I just peed in, which she probably will, you’re paying for the shots.”

Free Agents (Single Cam)
Cast:Al Madrigal, Anthony Head, Hank Azaria, Joe Lo Truglio, Kathryn Hahn, Mo Mandel, Natasha Leggero
Hank Azaria returns to TV in a single-camera romantic comedy about two co-workers who are both on the rebound from bad break-ups. Kathryn Hahn (Hung) plays his romantic interest, Helen, a colleague whose fiancé has recently died and whose home is overflowing with images of the dead man. After they have a one-night stand, they debate taking their awkward relationship to the next level. Based on the British comedy of the same name, Free Agents is created by Jon Enbom (Party Down) and directed by Todd Holland (Malcolm in the Middle), and the cast also includes Mo Mandel, Natasha Leggero, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Anthony Stewart Head. Enbom has a loyal cult following from Starz’s short-lived but critically adored workplace comedy Party Down, so this show (whose pilot script managed to be both sweet and sour) could be one to watch, should NBC position it properly.

Super, vielen Dank Donnie!

The Vampire Diaries, Life Unexpected, Cougar Town, Parenthood, The Good Wife).
MISSING (10)
Cast: Adriano Giannini, Ashley Judd, Cliff Curtis, Sean Bean, Tereza Vorísková
ABC's highly anticipated new drama series starring Ashley Judd ("Double Jeopardy," "Kiss the Girls"). Exotic locations and thrilling twists will keep viewers riveted in this story of a mother whose son suddenly disappears while studying abroad, and of the surprising events that reveal just how far she'll go to find him and bring him back home.

Champions League
1.REM aka Awake
1.The River
3.Terra Nova
-
Euro-League
4.Alcatratz
4.Missing
4.Once Upon a Time
7.Grimm
-
Bundesliga
8.Persons of Interest
9.Pan AM
10.Smash
11.Playboy
12.Charlies Angels
13.Ringer

http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/nbcs-th ... ll-launch/

With all the attention on the new series pickups at NBC, let's not forget that the network has been eyeing another new series on tap for next season that has larger order than any of the newly picked-up shows - The Firm. I hear the deal for a 22-episode straight-to-series order to the project based on John Grisham's best-seller is now done and the network has taped a clip with Grisham for its Monday upfront presentation. The series, from eOne in association with Sony Pictures Networks and Paramount Pictures, is being readied for a September launch though it is unclear if NBC will announce it as being on the fall schedule before casting has been done. The series, which also will be broadcast on Sony’s AXN networks in more than 125 territories internationally, picks up 10 years after the 1993 feature left off.

Und was alles gegen Terra Nova spricht:
1. Schlechte Presse.

Also, meine Erwartungen liegen im "No Ordinary Family"-Bereich.

Donnie hat geschrieben:Und was alles gegen Terra Nova spricht:
1. Schlechte Presse.
Also, meine Erwartungen liegen im "No Ordinary Family"-Bereich.
Kann ja nie schaden. Umso leichter kann man positiv überrascht werden.
