Kann man der Skull-Edition nicht noch das schöne FSK-Logo auf die Stirn basteln? xD

Ich hab von einer anderen DVD einen Aufkleber behalten, falls das Logo auf dem Schädel fehlt

Naja ich will mir das Teil ja nicht zulegen, aber das kommt drauf an, wenn er FSK 16 ist, dann kann ich mit einem eigenen Aufkleber noch aushelfen^^

In einem Radiointerview äußerte sich James Cameron über T4:

I think, you know, it's an interesting film. I didn't hate it as much as I thought I was going to, because McG was really, you know, kind of reverential to the Terminator mythos. But you know, obviously the film probably performed a little less than everyone had hoped, and maybe that's because Arnold wasn't in it. But I thought that Sam really held his own against Christian Bale; I thought he did a great job. And I thought in a way he was kind of the heart of the movie even though he played a guy who was a machine, because you really felt for him. And you know Sam always projects this kind of interesting mixture of vulnerability and strength that somehow we can relate to, you know he's kind of an everyman character.

Also ich fand Salvation besser als der dritte. Story fand ich gut, die umsetzung aber nicht so richtig. Hat irgendwie den flair der ersten 2 nicht mehr gehabt.

Habe mir das Script nun durchgelesen. Also es ist deutlich runder als der Film, aber irgendwie passt es nicht zu dem was wir bereits kennen, es kommt mehr wie ein Spin-Off im T-Universum rüber.

Jedenfalls war dieses Script wohl schon sehr nah an dem was für den Drehstart genutzt wurde, denn dem BTS-Material nach zu urteilen wurden wohl einige Szenen aus dem Hybrid-Plot gefilmt und später verworfen (nicht umsonst soll es 30-40 Minuten an Deleted Scenes geben). Sogar im fertigen Film sieht man noch einige Hybride die von oben auf die Gefangenen hinabblicken (Bild), so wie es auch in dem Script beschrieben ist (und das obwohl der Plot ja rausgenommen wurde). Und der spätere "Auftritt" von Serena wurde nachgedreht, vermutlich weil vorher der alte Plot (Bild) noch bestand.

Cameron hat mit MTV über T4 gesprochen. Das Interview samt Video gibt es hier. Dort ist u.a. zu lesen das er kein Interesse mehr an Terminator hat.

In diesem Video sieht man zu Beginn 2 Szenen vom Hybrid-Plot.
Scheinbar wurde das Ende doch erst sehr spät geändert.

Aus dem Terminator Files Forum:

The third act was mostly changed due to Helena Carter. The scene was somewhat rushed design-wise and they knew they might have to reshoot it right after they shot it.
Said to be to hokey or Star Trek-esque, they needed something simpler because time was running out. All they knew is that it had to be changed.

The original scene consisted of Marcus sneaking into skynet like you see in the movie. He then hides in an old church as it gets bulldozed by a giant Terminator (as seen in the preview). He hides from some T-600s and looks up at the skynet building. He sees a light on the 5th floor and sneaks in. When he walks into the room a Male Hybrid is at the computer system typing away. He notices Marcus and gives him a warm greeting. Marcus looks at him and then throws him out of a window. The hybrids neck snaps and Marcus then uses the computer console.
Meanwhile Connor Sneaks into Skynet and kills a T-600 by destroying an elevator shaft.
There is a different scene in which Kyle is kidnapped and taken up to Serena.
Marcus has a conversation with Serena much like the one in the movie except she is a Hybrid. She also has a pet T-800 that puts Marcus in the chair. After she tells MArcus of her plans there is an alternate scene of Ashdown getting destroyed in the sub.
Marcus escapes the T-800 and grabs Serena, ripping out her chip. The robotic arm in the room mistakes her for human and rips her apart.
As Kyle escapes with Connor and Star they blow away the wall, but the other side of the wall is not actually the Terminator factory, its the prisoner cells. There is a scene where Connor saves all the prisoners and they escape. He gets chased by the T-800 with the mini-gun from the T-600 and THEN they jump down a silo into the Termiantor Factory.

A lot was cut out of the end. There was also a long dialogue sequence before John leaves. He talks with Kate about how much they love each other and of their unborn child.

Also, At the end, Barnes has more of a role. He helps rescue Marcus and Connor and then is responsible for getting all of the prisoners to safety. Blair has trouble with the helicopter and Marcus saves the day again.

Klingt für mich deutlich besser als das Endprodukt. Schon unglaublich was dort alles geschnitten wurde.

Terminator Salvation: Extensive CUT Footage List

I’ve recently received from numerous emails from people that worked on Terminator
Salvation. These folks were on the set daily and wanted to set the record straight
about the reality of Terminator Salvation. These folks are fans of the series who
would like to remain nameless however they want the world to know that a LOT was
cut from Terminator Salvation. What I’m going to do is write a description of the
scenes in the order they would’ve been had they not been sliced out of the film.

Bis zu einem bestimmten Grad wirkte das doch etwas sehr wie Selbstmitleid. Aber er war zumindest so ehrlich zuzugeben, dass ihm für den 3. Akt auch nichts besseres einfiel. Dennoch hat er für jemanden, der nur ein gutes Drehbuch geschrieben hat, eine ganz schön große Klappe.
Man kann aber zumindest einen Einblick über den Entstehungsprozess eines Films bekommen, den das Studio machen will und der nicht auf dem Mist eines Kreativen gewachsen ist.
