Schon seit Langem hatte RTL II bestätigt, dass «Love Island» 2020, anders als sein britisches Pendant, nicht abgesagt wird. Nun wurde auch das Mysterium um die Produktionslocation gelöst. Statt in Karlsruhe wird nun doch auf Mallorca gedreht.
