Former Scrubs star Sarah Chalke has nabbed the lead in the ABC comedy pilot How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life.

Parents, a single-camera comedy, hails from Accidentally on Purpose creator Claudia Lonow and is loosely based on her own life.

From Imagine Television in association with 20th Television, Parents will be written by Lonow, who executive produce with Imagine's Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo as nonwriting EPs. Chalke will play Polly, a recently divorced single mom who moves in with her eccentric parents, Elaine and Max, a couple who knows no boundaries.

Vermütlich verkürzen die das auf "How To Live With Your Parents Forever" oder "Living With Parents Forever".

So ein scheiß. Das war ja originell, geistreich, witzig und wirklich gut gemacht. Wer soll den mit sowas was anfangen können? Wo sind die billigen Witze auf Kosten von Minderheiten, Übergewichtigen und Frauen? (sorry, aber die Werbung hat mir mal wieder vor Augen geführt wie deprimierend der CBS-Comedy Erfolg im Vergleich zu NBCs komplett Absturz ist).

Ganz am Ende beim Gruppenshot der Good Morning und Saturday Night Live Leute sieht man ganz kurz links und rechts in Nahaufnahmen Leute.. bei den rechten hab ich keine Ahnung, wer das ist, bei der Linken war es Kathy Bates (Harrys Law), Howie Mendell (keine Ahnung was der bei NBC noch macht) und der Hauptdarsteller von Grimm.. die offensichtlich in LA vor nem Bluescreen gestanden sind und zu den New York Leuten gestellt wurden

Aber der Clip ist echt cool und erinnert mich an die alten WB Promos, in denen alle Seriendarsteller zusammen waren

ABC Picks Up Comedy Pilot Starring Mandy Moore & Directed By Shawn Levy

ABC has given a late pilot order to a single-camera pilot starring actress/singer Mandy Moore, which will be directed by Shawn Levy. The project, written by Bob Fisher and Stacy Traub, centers on newlyweds Annie (Moore) and Ben who get the opportunity of a lifetime to run a hip, new restaurant in Annie’s hometown bringing her closer to her needy and high maintenance family. 20th Century Fox TV is producing with Shawn Levy and Marty Adelstein’s studio-based banner. In addition to directing, Levy is executive producing the project with Adelstein and Becky Clements. Moore’s manager John Leshay will serve as a producer.

Kyle Bornheimer is set to star in ABC’s comedy pilot White Van Man. With him on board, the pilot, originally picked up as cast-contingent, is moving forward to production. Michael Fresco has come on board to direct. The single-camera White Van Man is a blue collar ensemble based on the British format and centers on a man (Bornheimer) who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father. The series takes its name from the UK phrase that describes the stereotype for drivers of light commercial vehicles, often self-employed or owning small businesses such as handyman services. The ABC Studios-produced adaptation of the Adrian Poynton-created original was written by Bobby Bowman who executive produces with Mark Gordon and Andrea Shay.

EXCLUSIVE: John Legend is behind a music special, which is in series consideration at Showtime. The nine-time Grammy Award winner hosts and executive produces the project, which had a private taping recently at the historic EastWest Studios in Los Angeles. The untitled show features top artists from different genres who discuss their careers and perform an original musical collaboration before live studio audience. The first taping, directed by Jesse Dylan (Kicking & Screaming), son of music icon Bob Dylan, included a live performance from country star Faith Hill singing her new single “You’re The One Whose Waiting”, which was co-written by Legend, and a solo performance by rapper B.o.B of the single “Ghost in the Machine.”

Alfred Molina is set to star in David E. Kelley’s TNT medical drama pilot Chelsea General. Based on CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming novel Monday Mornings, the project follows the lives of five surgeons as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings. It uses as a backdrop the hospital’s Monday Morbidity and Mortality conference, considered the most secretive meeting in all of medicine, where doctors gather for a confidential review of complications and errors in patient care. Molina will play Dr. Harding Hooten, the steely-eyed Chief of Surgery at Chelsea General, known for his punishing and outwardly-uncaring ways. He heads up a weekly meeting in which doctors are lauded for their good work, or criticized (even fired) for their mistakes.

Also cast in the pilot is Bill Irwin (CSI) as Dr. Buck Tierney, a smug doctor who takes himself very seriously and rubs his colleagues the wrong way. Molina and Irwin join previously cast Jamie Bamber and Jennifer Finnigan. This marks a reunion for Molina and Kelley — Molina recently did an arc on Kelley’s NBC legal dramedy Harry’s Law. He also toplined NBC’s spinoff series Law & Order: LA last season. Kelley and Gupta, who is a practicing neurosurgeon, are executive producing Chelsea General; Kelley’s frequent collaborator Bill D’Elia is set to direct the pilot.

Nach dem Casting von Jamie Bambam hatte ich noch befürchtet, dass Kelley den Cast dieses mal präventiv mit mittelmäßig begabten Schönlingen vollstopft, aber mit Molina in einer Arschlochrolle (hoffentlich mit den Genen von Jeffrey Geiger und einer Prise Rocket Romano) steigt meine Erwartungshaltung wieder. Es ist schließlich schon mehr als genug Zeit seit Kelleys letzter guten, nicht im Anwaltsmilieu spielenden, Serie vergangen und das Law and Order Spin Off konnte ich mir selbst mit Molina nicht antun.

Wenn Bill Irwin der Serienkiller aus Lawrence Fishburnes CSI-Einstandsepisode ist, dann ist der auch ein Pluspunkt. Mehr habe ich von dem Arc nicht gesehen, aber der Kerl war verdammt creepy.

Edit: Ja, der ist es. Mir hätte er eigentlich besser als der Bad Guy aus Lights Out bekannt sein sollen. :lol:

Alfred Molina war schon in LOLA ziemlich gut, vor allem nach dem Retooling, sein Arc bei Harry's Law war ebenfalls nicht übel. Da kann man nur hoffen, dass DEK an alte Zeiten anknüpfen kann.

Aaach, ich könnte mir gut vorstellen, dass er sich mit den richtigen "Argumenten" überreden ließe. Ich denke eher dass NBC nicht soviel Cash zur Hand hat, um das auch hinzubekommen.

Doch, wenn sie von den Produzenten wieder gestartet wird, weil das Angebot stimmt. Ich störe mich einfach an der Aussage:

'American Horror Story': Jessica Lange returning, moving to the East Coast

"American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy appeared on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen Monday night (Feb. 6), where he dished some dirt on the second season of everyone's favorite new scary series.

When asked if Jessica Lange, who won both the Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild awards for her portrayal of Constance in Season 1 of "AHS," will be making an appearance in Season 2, Murphy says yes.

Though in what capacity, we don't know.

But Murphy goes on to say that Season 2 is "going to be somewhere on the East Coast and it's going to be a 'horror institution.'"

"I'm in negotiations with four of the people who were on last year's show, none of them were the Harmons. But none of the deals have closed, so I can't say [who they are]," Murphy continues.
