Freut mich, dass es auch Episodes geschafft hat. Nach einem sehr lahmen Start, wurde die Serie zum Schluss sehr unterhaltsam und ich fand sogar die beiden Brits toll.

Episodes war am Anfang echt lahm, aber die letzten Folgen waren klasse - und der Pucks-Plot hat noch so viel Potential, dass es eine Schande gewesen wäre, die Show zu beenden.

CBS Begins Courting John Stamos to Replace Charlie Sheen (for Real This Time!)

While Charlie Sheen was on a press tour this weekend, CBS' top boss man was on a quest to save Two and a Half Men.

I just got word that Les Moonves had a nice chat with John Stamos on Saturday about replacing Sheen on the hit sitcom.

Really? Here's what went down...

Sources exclusively tell me that Moonves approached Stamos at Jeffrey Katzenberg's Night Before benefit at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

"They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," one source says. "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character but they talked more about introducing a new character."

There were rumors early last week that Stamos was in talks to take over for Sheen, but Stamos tweeted on Friday, "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. however, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."

I'm told the conversation between the Moonves and Stamos lasted for about 15 minutes. It's unclear if more formal conversations are set to take place, but a source reports that Moonves' talk-show cohost wife Julie Chen and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey piped in, too. "They were all for it," the source said. "They were saying how they think it could definitely work."

Reps for CBS and Stamos did not immediately comment.

Das Beste an der Sache is immer noch John Stamos Tweet dazu. Ansonsten, sag ich mal das letzte Wort ist noch nicht gesprochen. Allerdings hab ich Ausschnitte aus dem Interview von Morgen gesehen und es scheint mir die Schlammschlacht ist noch nicht vorbei. Dass Sheen zurückkehrt halte ich an diesem Punkt aber für sehr sehr unwahrscheinlich.

Naja, auch wenn ich Stamos mag, wäre es besser, wenn sie Charlie einfach in die Reha schicken oder mit Rose nach Vegas, dann kann Alan, Jake und der Blonde im Haus wohnen. :lol:

Ich habe mich vorher noch nie für Charlie Sheen oder Two And A Half Men interessiert, aber ich verschlinge jeden News-Artikel zum Thema. Faszinierend wie größenwahnsinnig und verkokst der gute Herr ist. Ich bin auch sehr gespannt, wie es bei CBS mit ihm weitergehen wird, aber eine Zusammenarbeit kann ich mir beim besten Willen nicht mehr vorstellen und ich finde auch, dass CBS im Recht ist, auch wenn Chuck Lorres dummen Vanity-Karten auch nicht der klügste Einfall waren, so ist es absolut richtig von ihnen den Typen nicht weiterarbeiten zu lassen und auf den nächsten Skandal zu warten.

Das Set ist ja auch schon mehrere Male wegen ihm geschlossen worden und er hat auch schon gesagt, dass er nicht zu den Proben gekommen ist, die bei amerikanischen Sitcoms auch wichtig sind, weil Witze, die nicht funktionieren, zwischen der Probe und der Aufzeichnung der Folge ja nochmal umgeschrieben werden. Wobei seine ganzen Interviews langsam ermüdend werden, weil er jeden Tag 2-3 neue kranke Interviews hat. Man sollte ihn langsam wegsperren in die Klappse und gut ist.

Ich habe mir einige seiner Interviews angesehen und nach dem 3. hat man aber auch alles gesehen. Er wiederholt immer nur den gleichen Platitüden über "winning" und wie "special" er ist und "defeat is not an option", "the scoreboard doesn't lie" oder dass es keine scripts gab als er arbeiten wollte.
Jeder der mal mit einem Junkie oder Alkie zu tun hatte, wird sein Verhalten wieder erkennen. Er mag für den Moment clean sein, aber sein Bewegungsablauf, sein Verhalten, der Größenwahn sind doch wirklich Klassiker.

Ich mag John Stamos sehr und halte ihn generell für einen guten Ersatz. Allerdings ist trotzdem fraglich, wie gut der Austausch gelinkt. Wie gut kann man zu so einem späten Zeitpunkt noch den Hauptcharakter austauschen? Vorallem auch inhaltlich. Das hier ist ja nicht Herzbube mit 2 Damen(Three's Company), wo man einfach eine WG hat. Dort war es kein Großes Problem, Chrissy durch ihre Cousine Cindy zu ersetzen und die dann später durch die Krankenschwester Terry.

Bei Two and a half men gehört allerdings das Haus Charlie. Warum sollte neben Jake und Alan plötzlich jemand völlig anderes dort einziehen? Bzw. wenn dieser jemand einzieht, warum sollte er Jake und Alan Wohnrecht erteilen? Wie gesagt, da kommt es echt drauf an, wie sie Stamos reinschreiben werden.

Es gibt da ein paar Gerüchte, dass die Produzenten noch die Episoden drehen müssen. Anscheinend braucht es eine Zeit, um 43 Minuten Unterhaltung zu produzieren. Allerdings weiß ich nicht, wie viel Wahrheit in den Gerüchten ist.

Wieso? Das kommt doch immer wieder vor. Außerdem sind die Sweeps vorbei, und alle Networks werden ihre Wiederholungspeitschen bis Mitte April auspacken.

In her first major TV gig, Christina Ricci has closed a deal to star in ABC's drama pilot Pan Am. The project, from Sony Pictures TV, writer Jack Orman and director Thomas Schlamme, is a sexy soap set against the Jet-Age about pilots and flight attendants working at the iconic Pan Am airline in the 1960s. Ricci, repped by ICM and Management 360, will play the lead, Maggie, a fiery stewardess who is leading a double life - on duty she is a beautiful, perfectly groomed and poised stewardess, and off duty she is earthy, bohemian living among the beatniks and intellectuals of Greenwich Village. Exec producing are Orman, Schlamme and producer Nancy Hult Ganis, a former Pan Am flight attendant.

Immerhin nicht CBS und immerhin eine der interessanteren neuen Networkserien. Trotzdem nicht das Umfeld, dass ich mir für Ricci erhofft hatte.

HBO has picked up to pilot 40, an ensemble comedy from Entourage creator/executive producer Doug Ellin co-starring Ed Burns.

The show, set in New York, revolves around four lifelong friends who help each other navigate life at 40, which isn't all they expected it to be. Burns will play one of them, married with kids guy, who used to work at Bear Stearns making over 2 million a year but has now been out of work for almost a year. The quartet also includes a rich metrosexual guy, a a ripped personal trainer and a schlumpy neurotic married guy.The project falls under Ellin's overall deal with HBO.

40 joins HBO's recent pilot orders to Armando Ianucci's Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Aaron Sorkin's untitled News Show project. Entourage's eighth and final season airs this summer.

Rachelle Lefevre has been tapped as the female lead in the NBC drama pilot The Crossing. Written by Josh Brand, it is set in a Missouri town during the post-Civil War Reconstruction era and centers on Jason, a Civil War soldier who crosses the country and settles into a complicated town where he is welcomed as its savior. Lefevre will play Anna, a war widow in the town who watched helplessly as Union soldiers burned her husband and two little boys alive in their barn. Now living with her five-year-old daughter, Anna is smitten with Jason at first meeting and embarks on a torrid affair with the troubled outsider. For Lefevre, the casting is in second position to ABC's midseason medical drama Off the Map.

Last year, an acclaimed indie comic book called The Walking Dead made the leap from spinner rack to small screen, becoming a smash hit for AMC. Now another cable network is hoping for similar success with another highly-respected alt-comics property: Last week, FX announced it was producing a pilot for a proposed series based on Powers, a long-running saga about cops in a city teeming with superheroes. Think: NYPD Blue meets Watchmen; Jack Kirby meets James Ellroy. Handling the adaptation: writer/producer Charles H. Eglee (formerly of The Shield and Dark Angel; he also helped filmmaker Frank Darabont bring The Walking Dead to TV life) and veteran TV director Michael Dinner. Superstar comic book scribe Brian Michael Bendis — who created Powers with artist Michael Avon Oeming — will work on the show as an exec producer. “It is so cool,” an amped Bendis told EW via email. “Not just because of the obvious reasons. These are really talented people behind the scenes. I was at Eglee’s house a few weeks ago. He has a Peabody award for his work on The Shield. I have a Wizard Fan Award for Best Costumed Villain.” (Bendis has also won many other, more prestigious awards, including several Eisner Awards — the comic book Oscars — for Best Writer and a 2001 Eisner award for Powers in the Best New Series category.)

Since launching in 2000, Powers has distinguished itself as one of the comic industry’s best, most visually distinctive, and certainly edgiest superhero comics. The creators’ cited influences: Homicide: Life on the Street and Taxi Driver. Yet the Powers world isn’t just grim and gritty; it’s deep and mythic, too.

Bendis and Oeming have used their unique storytelling vehicle to do more than just make twisty-and-trippy, smart-and-shocking superhero noir; Powers also works as an extremely credible policier and as sharp media/cultural satire, too. “It’s a cop show in a superhero world,” says Bendis, “but because of the nature of the genre mash-up we are able to strip away a lot of the cliché of either genre and maybe invent a new mini genre. We deconstruct and reconstruct and have a lot of fun doing it.”

Image Comics originally published the creator-owned property. Now Powers is published by Marvel Comics through its Icon imprint. The series is collected annually in trade paperback form. To date: 13 volumes. Asked if the TV series will be adapting specific storylines or if it will be telling original stories set within a translation of the Powers world, Bendis said: “I can’t speak specifically to this, but there will be very, very familiar elements from the graphic novels [i.e., the collected storylines] in the pilot and probably in early episodes. But I am truly hoping that Powers — the television show — invents its own language of plot and storytelling as it goes. I personally would like to see a world where the Powers graphic novels and the Powers television show run in parallel but flattering universes much like Dexter. I’m not much into slavish adaptation. I don’t think it brings out the best in what the medium of television has to offer.”

Bendis could soon have his name on multiple shows on multiple networks. The prolific scribe — whose current output includes Marvel’s New Avengers — is a consulting producer and writer on Ultimate Spider-Man, a forthcoming animated series for the Disney XD network based on the Marvel comic of the same name. (“It’s a powerhouse writers room and I’m really looking forward to how it all turns out,” says Bendis of the show, whose exec producers are Steven T. Seagle, Joe Kelly, Joe Casey and Duncan Rouleau.) And ABC is currently developing a TV series based on Bendis’ now-concluded comic Alias, which chronicled the adventures of Marvel superhero-turned-private eye Jessica Jones. The actress voiced her excitement over the maturing series in response to a fan, and indicated that she's chasing a role — presumably that of detective Deena Pilgrim.

"Already met on #powers last year! I love it! I've just been waiting for a green light to go after it!" she posted on Twitter.

That green light was indeed bestowed yesterday, according to another tweet by Bendis. Time will tell if Sackhoff is close to winning the role.

In the series, Deena Pilgrim is the skeptical partner of detective Christian Walker. Together the pair investigate homicides in a world where superpowers are relatively common.

Bendis makes sure to emphasize that the project will be, predominantly, a cop show, “with superhero elements to it.” Anyone can see that Sackhoff’s look is spot-on for Deena, but if one thing secures the actress a serious chance at the part, we think it’ll be her prestigious resume.

Düster, edgy, Elemente einer Gesellschaftssatire und von Taxi Driver. NYPD Blue meets Watchmen. Das klingt alles äußerst vielversprechend, aber ein großes Fragezeichen bleibt der Umfang des Proceduralanteils. Bei FX kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass es zu weich gespült wird, aber es wäre enttäuschend, wenn es keine staffelumspannenden Fälle gibt.

40 klingt recht interessant. Komisch, dass ich auf solche Serien stehe, obwohl ich doch ein gutes Stück davon entfernt bin, mich damit identifizieren zu können. Ich mag Men of a certain Age und die brilliante BBC Serie Manchild und Traffic Light geht ja auch in diese Richtung.

Ich denke einfach mal, dass es nur dazu dient, um den (für das Genre) hohen Realitätsgrad und geringen Cheesefaktor zu unterstreichen. Ähnlich wie letztes Jahr bei Walking Dead und den AMC-Hinweisen, dass es zwar Zombieaction geben wird, aber das es in erster Linie ein charakterzentriertes Drama auch für Nicht-Fans sein soll. In den letzten Jahren konnten sich "echte" Superheldenshows schließlich keinen guten Ruf erarbeiten. Eine FX-Cop-Show, die in einer Welt mit Superhelden spielt, kann auch gar keine normale Copshow sein.

Ich würde 6x2 Wochen Pausen dazwischen Packen aber keine 2x 6 wochen.. kommt aufs gleiche Raus, aber die dauer ist halt geringer zwischen den Episoden

Man will was Charlie Sheen in Spin City war. Ein ähnlicher Typ, mit anderem Namen und Aussehen. Meine Frage zielte aber eher darauf ab, warum ein urkomischer Schauspieler ausgerechnet in einer Sitcom mitspielen sollte, die seit 8 Jahren ein und die selbe Folge in verschiedenen Variationen zeigt.
